commissioned by Cassian D.
An aging hunter in 19th-century gothic-romantic dress, half body, long coat falling open at the shoulders, wide-brimmed hat shadowing the upper face, a scythe-style weapon held at rest. Pose matched to the client's reference image down to the angle of the head. The palette stayed muted, mostly cold greys and bone, with the warmest value reserved for the skin of the hands.
Cassian sent this in as souls-style gothic horror fan art, which gave the brief its own visual vocabulary before a single line went down. The age in the face had to feel earned, not just lined, so the underpainting carried more structural shadow than usual before any color sat on top. The coat was rendered with cloth weight in mind, since a younger hunter wouldn't wear it the same way.
